TAKE IT AS RED

TAKE IT AS RED

0 Comments | Daily Mirror, The; London (UK), Jul 29, 2010 | by Demelza de Durca

I’VE never seen you looking so lovely – ladies in red Jessica Biel and Angelina Jolie rocked the red carpet in scarlet frocks this week.

If you’re looking to wow in one easy step then make like these two Hollywood stars and step out in racy red.

Justin Timberlake’s girlfriend, Jessica, 28, brought glamour to the male-dominated premiere of the A-Team in London this week in a Giambattista Valli gown and matching red strappy sandals.

Earlier in the week, Angelina saved her best frock for the Russian premiere of her new movie Salt.

Starting the day with a photo call in Moscow in a simple black pencil skirt and white silk top, Angie then went red all over for her dramatic evening appearance

We all wish we’d bought Microsoft Corp. stock in the 1980s. But what if you’d tucked away a 1965 Shelby roadster like the one that just sold at auction in Scottsdale, Arizona for more than $1 million? More to the point, what should you buy now that will turn out to be the collectible car of tomorrow?

Some cars rolling off the line today are destined to be the auction surprises of the future.

“I have a black Pontiac Solstice GXP coupe under a tarp right now,” said General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz. “It’s destined to be a collector car in 20 years.”

The 2009 hardtop sold new for $31,000 and can be found from private owners for around $23,000, according to Edmunds.com. Lutz says he believes it will eventually be worth two or three times as much as when new, inflation adjusted.

“You can’t plan for a collectible,” said Lutz. “Part of it is happenstance. The Solstice coupe was extinguished after 1,000 units when we shut down Pontiac. It’s very fast, and availability is extremely limited – that’s the magic combination.”

He also names the future Camaro convertible, Corvette ZR1 and Pontiac G8. In typical Lutzian fashion, they’re all GM products.

Dave Kinney, an appraiser and publisher of “Hagerty’s Cars That Matter” price guides, agreed that the Solstice coupe is a good choice but cautioned that scarcity is only one ingredient.

“Just because there are only a few doesn’t mean there will be a demand later on,” he said. “It depends on the kind of splash they made when they first came out.” If demand outstripped supply initially, chances are good it will be desirable in 20 years.

“You have to dispel the myth that rarity trumps everything. Otherwise I’d build a one-off car, slap my name on it and retire,” he said. “And nobody wants to buy a Dave Kinney, including Dave Kinney.”

His best guesses for future contenders are the Ford GT and BMW Z8 roadster

Dealing With Allergies With A Dehumidifier by James Law
in Health / Wellness (submitted 2010-06-22)

One of the most annoying problems is not being able to breathe. The funny thing is, many times people have a hard time breathing because of the humidity in the air. Sometimes when the air is thick, it is because of that excess moisture.

If you live in the Southern states, you are probably dealing with a lot of humidity, and a dehumidifier can help you get that moisture out of the air quickly.

If that is you, then you may want to consider getting a dehumidifier. A dehumidifier is one that can take some of the humidity out of the air. These units are used in many different places.

You may have seen them in the basement, or even in the bathroom. Sometimes a lot of moisture can build up in the bathroom, causing it to get rather steamy

To date, no

To date, no one has shown up in court to argue this, hence the fact that we are kind of forced to make it up as we go along.

Defamation is a tricky issue and one that needs to be tread carefully if one is to avoid landing in court. Here are a few tips to help keep you out of trouble. Note:

I am not an attorney. I don’t even get to play one on television. If you and your blog deal with some highly controversial issues or you’re just not sure how much trouble you would get into if you published that post about your best friend’s boyfriend, I recommend getting in touch with a lawyer to get the best advice.

Change the names. By far the easiest thing you can do is to change or to avoid using the name of the person you are talking about and to strip away as much identifying information as possible.

The lens gathers and focuses light on the imager. The imager (usually a CCD (charge-coupled device) or CMOS sensor IC on modern camcorders; earlier examples often used vidicon tubes) converts incident light into an electrical (video) signal. Finally, the recorder encodes the video signal into a storable form. The optics and imager are commonly referred to as the camera section.

The recent times are witnessing a great revolution in the camcorders. The camcorders with ultra modern technology are in the market. The mainstream consumer market favors ease of use, portable cheap camcorders and discount camcorders.

There is a great number of websites offering bulks of info on camcorders, cheap camcorders and discount camcorders. There are numerous online sources offers camcorder articles & blogs, camcorder review, digital camcorder review, sony camcorder review, canon camcorder review, sharp camcorder review, kodak camcorder review etc.

RURAL MATTERS : Blackcurrants want to get in on superfood act; The humble blueberry has recently shot to fame as a wonder fruit because of its anti-ageing properties, now Midland blackcurrant growers want to get in on the act, as Rural Affairs Reporter Sarah Probert reports

0 Comments | Birmingham Post (England), The, August 16, 2005

Byline: Sarah Probert

When Delia Smith chose to use fresh cranberries in her dishes, the fruit was flying off the supermarket shelves.

For the last few years, blueberries have enjoyed similar popularity thanks to dieticians and nutritionists.

And now blackcurrant farmers in Herefordshire are hoping to cash in by exploiting the healing properties of their fruits. The group of growers has launched a campaign to promote blackcurrants in the hope they will be able to boost next year’s harvest.

Although thousands of fruit-filled acres will be picked in the next few weeks, more than 90 per cent will be destined for the Ribena bottle.

Only a few punnets will go on sale as fresh fruit, and growers want the amount sold to the public to increase dramatically.

Jo Hilditch, whose grandfather set up a blackcurrant farm near Leominster, Herefordshire, in the 1930s, said farmers wanted to see the market for the fruit grow so they can sell their current surplus.

“The health benefits of blueberries have become well-known in the past few years, but the blackcurrant has almost disappeared from the consumer’s consciousness,” she said.

Ms Hilditch is chairman of the newly formed Blackcurrant Foundation, set up by growers to market their fruit more effectively.

“We came up with the idea at an international conference and there had been so much publicity about blueberries over the last few years. We think we have a product way ahead of blueberries in terms of health credentials.

“We haven’t done enough to promote ourselves in terms of health credentials and yet blackcurrants have more health promoting anti-oxidants than any other fruit,” she said.

Like other growers, the blackcurrant farmers have been forced to compete with cheap imports despite their belief that their fruit is far superior.

She hopes a marketing campaign will increase the amount of British blackcurrants sold and efforts are already underway to secure the future of Herefordshire growers.

“My grandfather started planting the blackcurrants and provided local jam companies in the 1930s. My father started selling to Ribena right from its inception

People other than lawyers can enlarge their practice by turning their attention to Europe.

Laws and rules tend to be unified inside the European Community. It is still not true for everything in every domain, but true and already active enough to allow you to consider Europe as a field to plow. You may also consider that a unique currency makes exchanges easier. Nobody can tell the future, that is to say: nobody knows what Europe and euro will be tomorrow; but anybody can tell the present: there are nearly 500 millions of Europeans who, in comparison with Americans, have no debt.

To reach so huge a market, there is a price to pay: to learn a foreign language.

You can use bravely high

You can use bravely high colors. For example a mouse can be blue, the cat may be pink, in this case it’s not problem. The main thing is your child feel the decision freedom and use his imagination. (You can take a look at a sample picture on my website.)

Third step: cut ears from the cardboard, embellish these and fix with the glue to the wooden spoon.

Fourth step: paint face (eyes, nose, mouth, moustache, tooth …) for the animal puppet.

Last step: tie with colorful ribbon the neck of the puppet.

Only your fantasy set a limit to the number of the puppets you can make. Also you can prepare the members of the family, as puppets.

You can find picture on my website.

Critical of care

A friend of mine is in his 80s and, until recently, lived alone. A woman used to come in three times a week to shower him.

She would see any rashes or bruising on the client and was supposed to report this to the company she worked for.

She was supposed to keep all personal things about herself to herself. However, she told my friend her husband lost his job in 2007 and she was the bread-winner

Eventually, evolution caught

Eventually, evolution caught up. Not being able to keep abreast of technological advancements in fire power of the era, the defensive capability of these great castles was severely diminished, causing them to become obsolete.

In the 18th and 19th century British castles were built for very different reasons. The Aristocracy, who were nostalgic for the past, had the most wonderful and splendid castles built for their pleasure. The most passionate of these builders was (Mad King) Ludwig of Bavaria in the 19th century and his fairytale castle – Neuschwanstein.

I hope you enjoyed The Evolution of the British Castle ? A short history
