THE hot weather has brought an unwanted extra expense for car drivers – air conditioning repair bills averaging pounds 480 a time.
Using the units only during the summer means they are more prone to break down, according to Warranty Direct.
The most expensive bill is for a Mercedes at pounds 777, then Audi (pounds 605), Honda (pounds 523), Jaguar (pounds 513), Volvo (pounds 444), BMW (pounds 435), Peugeot (pounds 387), Ford (pounds 370), VW (pounds 367), Renault (pounds 332), Seat (pounds 331), Saab (pounds 329), Citron (pounds 309) and Vauxhall (pounds 284).
